Reaching People With The Life-Giving Message Of Jesus Christ
Pastor Josh and his wife, Lauren, became the lead pastors of Church on the Rock in January, 2011.
Today, Church on the Rock is thriving with fresh vision. Many people are involved in this ministry by taking part in the weekend services, LifeGroups, and our Dream Team. God is at work in us! We invite you to experience how exciting church can be, when the focus is simple and the people go after God, with passion.
Our goal is to introduce our kids to the real Jesus at each phase of life. From the moment you drop off your child to the moment you pick them up, they experience safe, age-specific environments designed with them in mind. Every weekend, we discuss one Biblical truth through Bible stories, illustrations, games, worship, and a time for LifeGroups. Ask your kids what they learned in church this week!
Youth Converge Night is the first Wednesday of every month. Middle School and High School students converge into a large group in the main auditorium at 7:00 PM.
LifeGroups are the connection to authentic discipleship, new friendships, and tons of fun. In good times and bad, LifeGroups are the source of life-giving relationships and support. Students will never experience all that God has to offer until they connect in life giving relationships. We encourage all students to find a group!
We believe in creating a worship experience where Holy Spirit-inspired, pure-hearted, excellent worship connects people with the heart of God in a meaningful way. Continually focusing on the people of the local church, Church On The Rock Worship is constantly training musicians and worship leaders, and worshiping with songs of freedom and love, with a fresh approach.
WHAT ARE YOUR WEEKEND SERVICES LIKE?
Each weekend at Church on the Rock you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant message. You’ll also find a printed outline for notes in your worship guide, that will help you make the most of each week’s teaching. Children are well-cared for in a loving, quality nursery and fun-filled Church on the Rock Kids services.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money.
We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if we are the church for you.
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
At Church on the Rock your children are a top priority. We offer dynamic Student Ministries for all ages. Our staff are all background checked and here to serve your children with love and care.
WHY DO YOU HAVE LIFEGROUPS?
LifeGroups are an important part of Church on the Rock; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our LifeGroups. Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God.
As Church on the Rock grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and interests — there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you. Learn more about why we’re big on LifeGroups, or find a group to visit in our listing.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN A LIFEGROUP?
One of the easiest things to do at Church on the Rock is to participate in a LifeGroup.
Groups meet throughout St. Augustine and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support. Wherever you live, there’s a LifeGroup near you. Check out our online listing and visit a group this week.
WHAT DO I WEAR TO ATTEND YOUR SERVICES?
You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Weekend Services.
Come in what is comfortable for you, because Church on the Rock is not about what you look like or what you wear.
HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?
There are many ways to get involved. You can begin getting connected by attending our Connect Class the first Sunday of each month. You can also connect to one of our LifeGroups. We also invite you to be a part of our Church Family by attending our weekend service. Lastly, once completing the Connect Class you can connect to our Dream Team.
In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.
HOW CAN I BE DISCIPLED AND GROW?
Here at Church on the Rock we believe real life change happens in the context of relationships. We want people to Connect, Care, and Grow with each other.
Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ.
Our Connect Class offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life.
From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Lord, to your involvement in life-changing ministries, we will lead you step-by-step from healing, to growth and into leadership. Begin the process at our next Connect Class the first Sunday of each month.
